Baneys are here to exhibit works
AN EXHIBITION of work by Vera and Ralph Baney will open on the first two floors of Scotiabank's new headquarters on Park Street tomorrow. It is one of a number of events to mark the opening of the new building, which took place last Saturday.
There will be a preview of the exhibition today.
A specially commissioned work by Vera Baney will hang permanently on the wall on the bank's ground floor, while one by Ralph Baney will hang on the second floor.
"My piece is called "The Energising Source" Mrs Baney explained to the EXPRESS recently. "It is made of porcelain clay and the gold in it is gold
lustre."
Ralph Baney's piece which will hang permanently on the second floor is called "Changing Moods." " It is a series of painted plastic tubes," he explained.
